Patience

I gaze upon His light
His love and joy fills darkest night
But I turn,
For there is a tugging at my side
A nagging that cannot be denied
So I yearn,
How long must we endure,
Those distractions that occur?
Yet I learn,
To return back to His light
Despite temptations lying might
Then I earn,
A steadfast heart within
Regardless of past sin.
No more concern.

  1. Patience. I struggle with this daily. Ok, more like hourly. Alright minutely. But isn't it great to know that He doesn't. Your poem says how wonderful it is that although we get distracted by shiny objects he doesn't, and when we get our focus back He is there, waiting patiently. Bravo.
